    Plate of chicken alfredo.

Chicken Alfredo is classic comfort food at its finest. When you have tender chicken breast in a creamy sauce nested atop a warm bed of fettuccini noodles and topped with savory Parmesan, what could be better than diving right in?

While this main dish may be a show stealer, don’t forget that what you serve with it can be just just as important! From light starters to rich desserts and everything in between, the (delectable) options are endless. And the right pairing can take a meal from delicious to downright unforgettable!

This recipe comes to us straight from Italy! Ali Martin of Gimme Some Oven is bringing back all the best tips she learned from a mini-cooking class in Rome. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this one.

Tip number one is to keep the ingredient list minimal. The goal is to let the vibrant, fresh flavors of the bruschetta really shine through!

    4. Garlic Bread Sticks

If your favorite part about Olive Garden is the unlimited breadsticks, then stop scrolling! This copycat recipe gives you soft, fluffy breadsticks that you can make right in your own kitchen.

Best of all, they can be ready in about an hour! You can indulge in one (or three) with your pasta, then enjoy the rest of the batch throughout the week. This is definitely one of my favorite delicious side dishes on this list.

    5. Garlic Parmesan Roasted Broccoli

With a main dish as mouth-watering as chicken Alfredo pasta, it’s okay to keep your side dish simple. Garlic Parmesan roasted broccoli is a great way to add some green vegetables to your meal, and this recipe still delivers big on flavor and crunch.

    9. Shrimp

Looking for a quick appetizer or side you can have on the table in 10 minutes or less? Succulent shrimp tossed in an easy garlic and lemon sauce is the perfect solution!

It’s up to you whether you want to buy fresh shrimp or just use up the bag that’s hiding at the back of your freezer. Combine with a few other basic ingredients, and you’ll have a wow-worthy, tasty side dish to serve alongside your main course.

    10. Classic Negroni
