Homemade Ice Cream Recipes
Equipment
- 1 ice cream maker
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups whole milk
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ¾ cup sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Put cream into a saucepan. Stir in sugar and salt. Cook over medium heat until sugar just dissolves.
- Remove pan from the heat and add in milk and vanilla. Stir and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
- Pour mixture into ice cream maker. Churn according to machine instructions.
- Place ice cream in a freezer safe container and freeze until ready to serve.
