- 1 ¼ cups whole milk
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ¾ cup sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
Put cream into a saucepan. Stir in sugar and salt. Cook over medium heat until sugar just dissolves.
Remove pan from the heat and add in milk and vanilla. Stir and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Pour mixture into ice cream maker. Churn according to machine instructions.
Place ice cream in a freezer safe container and freeze until ready to serve.
